Frequently asked questions
Practical answers about costs, booking and what to expect.
Which appliances do you repair?
Washing machines, washer-dryers, tumble dryers, dishwashers, fridges, freezers and fridge-freezers. If you have a different appliance, ask us and we'll tell you honestly whether we can help.
Which brands do you work on?
All major brands, including Bosch, Hotpoint, Indesit, Whirlpool, Beko, Samsung, LG and AEG. If parts for your appliance are still available, we can usually repair it. Tell us the brand and model when you book.
Do you cover my postcode?
We cover Crewe, Nantwich, Sandbach, Alsager, Middlewich, Winsford, Northwich, Knutsford, Holmes Chapel, Tarporley, Malpas, Audlem and Stoke-on-Trent, and other towns and villages within reasonable travelling distance of Crewe. You can check your postcode. Travel charges may vary depending on your location. We will confirm any applicable travel charge before your appointment is finalised.
How much does an appliance repair cost?
Call-out and diagnostic fees from £80. Parts and any additional labour are charged separately where required. Your applicable fee and any additional costs will be confirmed before you proceed. If the fault is fixed during the first visit without parts or extra chargeable work, you pay only the agreed call-out / diagnostic fee. If parts or more labour are needed, we explain the cost and ask for your approval before going ahead. See our prices page.
Is there a call-out or diagnostic charge?
Yes. Call-out and diagnostic fees start from £80. The fee for your job is confirmed before we approve your booking, because location, access and the type of appliance can affect it. It covers the visit and an assessment of the fault.
Will I need to pay for parts separately?
Parts and any additional labour are charged separately where required. We explain the cost and get your approval before doing the work.
How does booking and payment work?
Send a booking request and choose a time. Nothing is charged when you book. We review your request and, if we can take it, confirm the call-out / diagnostic fee and email you a link to pay it securely online. Your appointment is confirmed once the fee is paid.
How do I pay?
By card on Stripe's secure payment page, once your booking has been approved. We never see or store your card details, and we don't add a card surcharge.
Can I send photos of the fault?
Yes – add them to your booking request, or send them to us on WhatsApp. Photos of the model label, any error code and the fault help us prepare, but we can't promise a definite diagnosis from photos alone.
What happens if the appliance can't be repaired?
We'll explain why – for example, if parts are no longer available or the repair would cost more than the appliance is worth – so you can decide what to do next. The agreed call-out and diagnostic fee still applies, because the visit and assessment have been carried out.
Can I reschedule or cancel?
Yes. Please give us at least 24 hours' notice by WhatsApp or email, or contact us as soon as possible if it's sooner than that. We don't charge a cancellation fee. See our cancellation policy.
Is it worth repairing, or should I replace it?
As a rough guide, if a repair would cost more than about half the price of a comparable new appliance – or the appliance is old and showing other wear – replacing it may make more sense. After diagnosis we'll tell you honestly which we think is better value, and you only pay the agreed call-out fee if you decide not to go ahead.
Do you offer a repair guarantee?
Our repairs come with a 1-month guarantee on the parts we fit and our labour. If the same fault comes back within 1 month because of our work or a part we fitted, we'll return and put it right at no extra cost. This doesn't affect your statutory rights.
How do I prepare for an engineer's visit?
Have the model number to hand if you can, clear space around the appliance, and make sure there's safe access to it and to a plug socket. If the appliance is full of water, place towels nearby.
Tell us what's wrong with your appliance
Send a booking request in about two minutes. Nothing is charged when you book: we confirm the fee and the appointment with you first.
